Ahsoka Just Premiered on Disney + First Impressions Spoiler Free. We had the opportunity to see it last week as part of a D23 Fan Event that took place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We have spent a few days reflecting and now that Ahsoka is out today, we can talk about it.

First, we would like that say that the D23 event was one of the best we have ever attended. We got to watch the first two episodes with a small group of die-hard fans, think 200 or less.

Set after the fall of the Empire, “Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

“Ahsoka” stars Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ray Stevenson, Ivanna Sakhno, Diana Lee Inosanto, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen, and Eman Esfandi. The episodes are directed by Dave Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa. Dave Filoni is the head writer and executive produces along with Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist serves as co-executive producer.

As someone who isn’t up on the backstory of Ahsoka, I had no problem following the story and becoming invested. I will say that I walked away not only an Ahsoka fan but a big Sabine Wren fan. She was fantastic!

As Always Star Wars fills up the universe with more than just the main characters. From droids to alien species, the world felt massive. I have to admit, I am now a cat person, as in a Loth Cat person!

We don’t know where this story is going but we are in for the ride. It was intense, humorous, and full of heart. We are looking forward to the next six episodes. Dave Filoni knocked it out of the park and has made me a huge fan!

New episodes of “Star Wars: Ahsoka” are available every Tuesday at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Disney+.
