D23 Expo 2024 becomes D23 The ULTIMATE Disney Fan Event. At Destination D23 here at Walt Disney World, D23 Vice-President Michael Vargo announced the dates for next year’s D23 Expo held every other year in Anaheim across from Disneyland at the Anaheim Convention Center will take place August 9th -11th, 2023.
That wasn’t all he had to say about the event. The event itself will no longer be called D23 Expo, the new name is D23 The ULTIMATE Disney Fan Event, Furthermore, Mr. Vargo went on to say that Hall D presentations will not be happening, instead, he announced the following:
“We all love those fabulous panels hosted in Hall D23, but wouldn’t it be much nicer to not have to camp out in those seemingly endless lines? Well, to help (hopefully) solve that problem, the August 11th presentations (which are typically the ones that draw the biggest crowds) will be moved to the Honda Center Arena, which has a greater capacity.”

Honda Center Arena holds around 18,000, compared to Hall D which holds around 6,000 people. This is a huge step up.
Also announced was a D23 Member takeover of Disneyland on August 8th, along with an Anaheim Angels baseball game on August 4th, 2023.
Tickets are going on sale sometime in spring.
