Epcot Today: New Park Map, Merchandise, and Character-Palooza. What a beautiful day here at Walt Disney World. We got over to Epcot this morning to enjoy the Park and it could not have been a better day for us. Got to see a ton of new Merchandise, including the Moana opening day Pin and Oar. New Park map now shows Journey of Water and saw some of our favorite Disney characters at Epcot’s Character-Palooza.
The new Epcot Park Map is out now, featuring Journey of Water, inspired by Moana. The lower right of the map shows #18 as Moana. The center of the park map is still nothing but grass, but that should change in the next month or so, with the end of construction due sometime in December.

Over at Creation Shop we got to see the new opening day Moana pin for $19.99. The new pin shows young Moana and her first interaction with Water Spirits. The same image can be found inside Disney’s newest attraction.
There is also a new Oar that plays music and in the top part of the oar is water that acts like Journey of Water fountain features.
Furthermore, there is a ton of Big Feet Plushies available for $29.99. Some of these may be newer than others. I do not remember seeing Rex from Toy Story before, but I could be wrong. Figment just returned after being sold out instantly a few months ago.
Now we got ears, it’s time for cheers! This Mickey Mouse and Friends Mega Figure Set features the characters from Disney Junior’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse taking on imaginative roles that are sure to inspire little ones everywhere.
Finally, we got to see a character-palooza at Epcot. If you are not familiar with Character-Paolooza, that is when various Disney characters show up unannounced in the World Showcase. Either by the American Adventures pathway near the Joffrey’s Coffee stand, or by the World Showplace in between Great Britain and Canada.
This is actually a training for new Cast Members.
The amazing thing about Character-Palooza is you never know what characters you may see. Today we got to meet King Louie from The Jungle Book, Mr. Smee from Peter Pan, Wendall the BEar from The Country Bears, and finally, we hung out with Rafiki from The Lion King.
