Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Halcyon Merch Available in Hollywood Studios. The Starcruiser closed exactly one month ago today, one of Disney’s most notable endeavors in new resort experiences. Not just a hotel or resort, but a fully immersive experience where guests become part of the story in a 2-night 3-day cruise across the galaxy on board The Halcyon Ship.
We wrote our love letter to all it was and what it meant for us to enjoy our voyage across the galaxy last month. We mourned our losses, and are now looking to the future of what could be next.
When the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser closed and the final voyage docked Cast Members and Crew, including those who worked behind the scenes, were given the opportunity to hop onboard and go shopping one last time. We figured this would be the last time the merchandise was going to be available, so we stocked up on a few things like pins, keychains, DX droids, shirts and so much more.
We were wrong, about the merch being available again, because 2 days ago it showed up in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Keystone Clothiers – Discover incredible souvenirs inspired by extraordinary adventures––including Star Wars, Marvel, and more.
There are a lot of kids’ sizes of tee shirts, hoodies, and Captain jackets and hats.
The Halcyon great magic band was also for sale. This is not the super limited edition white band that passengers were given.
Halcyon Keychains, and keychains that look like the Starcruiser are also available.
The Galactic Starcruiser was no ordinary hotel. It was a swing-for-the-fences mold breaker, a two-night immersive experience where guests pretend to board a spaceship for an elaborate days-long Star Wars cosplay, complete with costumed characters, meals, and storylines.
Once aboard the Halcyon ship, passengers received lightsaber training, rubbed elbows with space creatures, and went on missions to aid either the Resistance (a.k.a., the good guys) or the evil First Order.
It will be sorely missed. But, if I were you, and I was still wanting something to remember what some belive is Disney’s biggest failure, and others believe was one of the biggest success stories, I would go buy a piece of history.
