The Most Wonderful Time of the Year has Started with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2023. Last night was the unofficial start to the Holiday season down here at Walt Disney World, and we were at the Magic Kingdom to enjoy the festivities, meet some characters in their holiday best, ride some rides, see fireworks, meet Santa and Sandy Claws and so much more during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
This is a separately ticketed seasonal celebration on select nights from Nov. 9 to Dec. 22 at Magic Kingdom Park with festive fun for the whole family to enjoy!
Before we get into our recap, people may ask if Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is worth the price? The simple answer is, Yes. We had such a great time with friends and family. Riding rides, character meet and greets, photopass, and the shows and fireworks make it all worth it.
We started our night by picking up the new holiday guide map.

While the daytime crowd is heading out, you get routed into the park through the walkway on the right-hand side, where there was a Toy Soldier meet and greet, and the Cast was handing out a 2023 Toy Soldier ornament.

Our first stop was Club Tinsel to see Nick and Judy from Zootopia and we danced along with Chip & Dale.
So many characters were out. We did not have time to get every one of them, but here is our favorites.
I normally do not ride Tomorrowland Speedway, but it is a true holiday drive seeing the lights and the music. Nothing is more visually stunning than the decorations with Tron Lightcycle Run in the background.
Merch and food? Yes, please. There is Party Exclusive Popcorn Bucket, The Mickey Mouse Tin Soldier.
Very Merry Entertainment
The entertainment offerings at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will make your spirits bright – from festive fireworks over Cinderella Castle to holiday dance parties with your favorite characters, and even a yuletide castle show. Did you know you can experience “snow” on Main Street, U.S.A.? Grab a spot for Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and watch Magic Kingdom transform into a winter wonderland with festive processional and Florida flurries.

As a party guest, you’ll have a chance to pose for holiday card photos with festive characters like Jack Skellington and Sally and Scrooge McDuck. You’ll also catch some of your favorite Disney characters dressed in their holiday best! Before your magical evening ends, head to Liberty Square to commemorate the holiday season with a photo with Santa. Looking to add a touch of magic to this classic holiday tradition? Santa-Approved Snacks
Cookies and a warm cup of cocoa are staples of the holiday season. As a party guest, you can enjoy these sweet treats all night long at no additional charge. You’ll find unique cookie flavors at each of the designated treat locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park, and allergy-friendly options are available upon request.
Holiday-inspired food and Beverage Offerings
Santa’s helpers have been working hard to create holiday-inspired food and beverage offerings for this event. Holiday-Themed Attractions
During this limited-capacity event, you’ll have the chance to enjoy some of your favorite Magic Kingdom attractions, often with lower wait times. But did you know some attractions receive a holiday overlay that you can only experience as a party guest? Enjoy a festive twist on a classic attraction at Space Mountain – Holiday Run!! or attend a special holiday edition of your favorite comedy show at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.
We ended the night with a classic Disney holiday parade “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade”, which could be the best parade of the year.
