Filming for the 2023 ABC Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is a staple of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Day Parade and is on the must-do list. It is a selling point for paying extra to attend the extra-ticketed event every year. On a few days every Christmas Season you can actually watch the parade during the day, and yesterday was one of those days as Disney Parks filmed the parade for the Christmas Day airing on ABC television.
The parade is a family favorite, even though Disney television has cut back on the amount of the parade we see each year. The parade will be spliced into vignettes featuring celebrities singing, which usually is filmed in Disneyland Park every year.

Most of the cranes and cameras were set up on Main Street USA, facing Cinderella Castle. Which was decorated for the filming of the Holiday Special that airs every year. Of course, Derek Hough was hosting, as he apparently does every year now.
