Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith Closing for a Long Refurbishment…Again. Last year speculation ran rampant when the coaster closed for 3 months, with many people hoping for a major retheme of the popular attraction.
Those speculations proved false, as normal. And now, we can look forward to another year of the same people saying the same thing. Make it A Goofy Movie “Powerline” themed ride, and on and on. My new favorite one is based on Queen. Unless Queen has lost favor after the life of Freddy Mercury movie has left the daily conversations.
Then someone always brings up the Muppets, which after last year’s hit tv show “Muppets Mayhem” on Disney+, even I had to agree that would have been cool.
Instead what we got was a fresh coat of paint, and some internal fixes to the launch system in hopes of fixing all the downtime the coaster seems to go through weekly.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will close on January 8th, 2024, and will stay closed as far as the Disney World calendar goes, which is 60 days. There is no word, and we do not expect one from Disney Imagineering about the closure.
In fact, the only time we would actually hear from Disney about things like this is IF the ride was going to go through a retheme during refurbishment.

Each vehicle broadcasts different Aerosmith hit songs, including “Walk This Way,” “Dude (Looks Like a Lady),” “Sweet Emotion” and “Back in the Saddle.” The classic “Love in an Elevator” was rewritten as “Love in a Roller Coaster” specifically for this rocktastic attraction.
