Drawing Figment at Animation Academy During Festival of the Arts 2024, and I suck at drawing is what we learned. In fact, it was so bad I couldn’t even share it during the article.
We did have an enjoyable time learning how Figment is drawn. We also learned two of the hardest characters for animators to draw are Mickey Mouse and Beast from Beauty and the Beast. Apparently, Mickey’s features do not move when his face turns left or right, and his ears are always circular, instead of turning towards the camera.
We will leave the drawing to the professionals, but we encourage you to try your hand at it every day between 12:30 and 1:30 at the American Gardens Theater.
