Spaceship Earth Light Show Features “Muppets” and “Figment” for the Festival of the Arts. Two returning classic Icon shows have returned for Epcot’s Festival of the Arts 2024. One you have to watch from the newly reopened World Celebration, and the other can be viewed from your favorite spot.

Starting at twilight, which was 5:50 PM, Spaceship Earth is lighting up the Disney sky. ‘One Little Spark’ the original version, and The Muppets’ classic ‘Rainbow Connection’

Previously we have seen both of these shows in the past years. Moreover, it is the first time they have played two different versions of the Festival of the Arts shows. ‘One Little Spark’ premiered in 2022, and ‘Rainbow Connection’ premiered in 2023.

While The Muppet’s classic song is always fun to hear and hits us in all our memories it is the same show from last year, nothing has been incorporated into the World Celebration area. This is not a detraction from the show, because the Icon of SSE is still mind-blowing to watch.

In fact, since SSE debuted as a Beacon of Magic nighttime spectacular back when Disney’s 50th anniversary started on October 1st, 2022, it has always blown our minds. We still are not over how stunning and beautiful the shows are no matter what show is playing.

The highlight though is ‘One Little Spark’ watching from World Celebration. Disney has brought the show down from the ball into this flowing orchestra of lights all the way through the center of the park. With light poles and in-ground lighting dancing along with the music in an amazing light display that must be seen to be believed.

I was mouth agape and hope well the imagineering team did with this show. It is Disney magic at its finest, furthermore, I cannot recommend this show enough. I said a month ago, when Disney opened up World Celebration that this was what I was looking forward to the most, the addition of putting the lights from SSE and the new hub of the park together as one giant piece of art.

This is the best way to describe the show, a work of art, Undoubtedly Walt Disney Imagineering has done what we wanted them to do. Make us feel an emotion, and as a person who used to tour with bands, I have seen some amazing light shows, and this one holds up to the best concerts I have ever seen.
