Disney World Cast Member Pargo Parade 2024 Celebrating Parades of the Past & Present. Spectromagic, Rainy Day Cavalcade, Mickey’s Jammin Jungle Parade, plus we got a little Boo to You. They were joined by Princess Tiana in a horse-drawn carriage.
Every year, on Fat Tuesday, Disney World Cast Members come together for a Mardi Gras parade and party at Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter, and this year celebrated Parades of the Past & Present.
If you ever wanted to know how much Cast Members love their working environment, this is the event of the year. Each parade ‘float’ golf cart is decorated by different teams. Cast members from Imagineering, Food & Beverage, Merchandise, Resort Duty Team, Riverside Front Office, River Cruise, French Quarter Housekeeping & Custodial, Recreation, French Quarter Front Office, Engineering, and Riverside Housekeeping each had a float.

Cast Members were joined by the WDW.Ambassadors, Serena and Shannon, led the parade down the Sassagoula River from Riverside to the French Quarter. They have to be the hardest-working cast Members at Disney World! We saw them in the early morning celebrating the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure signs being installed at Magic Kingdom.

Furthermore, Jeff Vahle the President of Walt Disney World Resort joined in as a spectator supporting all the Cast Members.
“As Tiana says, it’s all “blue skies and sunshine!” I love the energy and passion our Port Orleans Resort Cast put into their annual Mardi Gras parade. It was especially fun after this morning’s news that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at Magic Kingdom this summer!”
Spectromagic returned to Disney World, maybe for 1 day only, but still…French Quarter Housekeeping & Custodial yall are amazing!
Engineering brought Disney Stars & Motor Cars Parade, they even had a movable Stitch!

Place your votes for your favorite cast-decorated float from the 2024 Mardi Gras Parade at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort! Vote on who had the “Most Team Spirit”, who had the “Most Creative” float, and who you think should win “Best Overall!” Winners will be announced in the French Quarter Courtyard around 11:45 A.M. – Oh, well guess that is over already. Our personal overall favorite was Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade a parade that ran at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as part of the 100 Years of Magic celebration that was happening in honor of Walt Disney’s 100th Birthday. The team recreated Goofy’s Truck! Great call back Riverside Front Office.
When the parade was over, there was still a party to look forward to as the French Quarter was just getting started. Long lines for beignets, and they also had special merchandise for sale.
