You Have No Power Over Me But We Want You To Go See Fathom Event’s Screening of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth. You don’t have to travel far to get to the Castle beyond the Goblin City. You can head to any theater that is airing this fantastic film.
Fathom Events are always striving to bring the best in film events and this one hits all the right notes for us. Labyrinth is a family favorite film in our home. We have followed Sarah on her quest to save Toby since this beloved film was released in 1986.

Labyrinth is a musical fantasy full of puppets from Jim Henson’s Creature Workshop. The film was directed by Jim Henson and Executive Produced by George Lucas. It was written by Terry Jones and based on conceptual designs by Brian Foud.
Frustrated with babysitting on yet another weekend night, Sarah (Jennifer Connelly), a teenager with an active imagination, summons the Goblins to take her baby stepbrother away. When little Toby actually disappears, Sarah must follow him into a fantastical world to rescue him from the Goblin King (David Bowie).
Guarding his castle is the labyrinth itself, a twisted maze of deception, populated with outrageous characters and unknown dangers. To get through it in time to save Toby, Sarah befriends the Goblins, in hopes that their loyalty isn’t just another illusion in a place where nothing is as it seems.
If you are anything like us and grew up in the 1980’s, you probably love and still quote this movie. We do! Very often. My husband cannot meet anyone named Sarah without quoting, “Ludo Love Sarah!” Or “Smell Bad”, maybe Ludo is the most quotable for us.
“You remind me of the babe.” You know you just finished that line. And seriously who didn’t want to move a crystal ball around like David Bowie did?? And “should you need us” you can join us in watching this Jim Henson Classic at the theaters.
