Epcot Park Day 2/15/2024 – Central Garden Construction, Castle Scaffolding is Down, Disney Snacks Pizza Collection, Chalk Art. I love this time of year, we are coiming to the end of Festival of the Arts 2024 and the beginning of Epcot Flower & Garden Fest. Which means spring is in the air, warmer weather is coming, and epcot has a fragrance (and not the sewer smell found near Odyssy pavilion).
Speaking of weather, it was a chilly start at 52 degrees, but by the mid morning it had gone up to 70. The crowds felt lighter than it has been recently, which made walking the World Showcase a great experience.
We got to see the Prehistoric Gardens. The Toy Story Topiary collection has been installed, including Woody, Bo-Peep and her sheep and Buzz Lightyear. Along with a ton of other topiaries have arrived ahead of Flower & Garden 2024. The Castle in the Canadian building can be seen clearly again, now that all the scaffodling around it has been removed. Furthermore, we got to see some new booths installed around the front of Epcot. Let’s check it all out.
The central Garden between World Showcase and World Celebration has had the walkway in the middle demolished. The walkway was lliterally just instaleld last year for the Disney100 Mickey Statue and D100 signage. This will be home to a topiary any day now.
Last week we saw a small temporary directional sign, now there is a much larger sign on the World Celebration side of the garden. Hopefull the topiary will cover this up, cause it looks like it stands out and takes away from the veiw a little bit.
Two booths have been added to the World Celebration Gardens. One is located where Pluto is meeting and greeting guests, and the other is right next door on the Creation Shop side of the garden area.
These booths should be merchandise booths. They do not look like food booths at all. I wonder if Pluto will have his meet and greet spot moved again.
Walking across World Showcase bridge, Chalk Art is still ongoing. Introspective Figment is something we didnt know we needed so much in our lives. I dont like having deep thoughts about an dragon who lives in our imagination. Like does Figment get lonely when he isnt being paid attention to? Exactly what type of art affects Figment? Does Figment exist prior to us opening the box? (Schrödinger’s cat joke anyone?).
Plus, we got to see our first Inside Out 2 characters. Anxiety and Anger were drawn in the morning, Leigh is the artist. But what we noticed is Anxiety was done by Leigh and EPCOT. So, I think the artist may have had guests help draw some chalk hearts!
Chalk Art Galleries:
Watch chalk artists at work—taking inspiration from great art and the world around them. Chalk art galleries are located along the bridge to World Showcase Plaza.
Above is how the Hotel Du Canada is looking as of yesterday. With only a little bit of scaffolding left at the entrance to Le Cellier Steakhouse. The Canada pavilion’s centerpiece was inspired by the Chateau Laurier, a historic hotel found in Ottawa.
The castle that looms over Epcot has a new paint job, with the roof getting most of the work done.

The Pizza Colleciton has Disney Eats Ears, and the bow actualy looks great. Spirit Jersey and Loungefly mini backpack complete the monthly set.

Finally, Stitch’s Snack Attack February Popcorn collection has arrived at Creation Shop. Stitch and Angel and a popcorn bucket make up the Pin set. Along with a Stitch plush with popcorn. Kinda a weird wink from Stitch.
