UK & Canada Pavilion Walls and Scaffolding Down – Restrooms and Castle Open. After almost exactly one year the walls around the UK pavilion restrooms and been removed and the bathrooms are open again.
Furthermore, in the Canada pavilion, the scaffolding and walls that were used to repaint and do some general maintenance on Hotel du Canada and Le Cellier have been removed. The walls separating guests from going into the upper area of the pavilion, on the backside of the Castle, have been taken down.

The Canada pavilion’s central design was inspired by the iconic Chateau Laurier, a distinguished historic hotel nestled in Ottawa. The Chateau Laurier, named after Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the seventh Prime Minister of Canada, is a grand castle-like structure that has been an integral part of Ottawa’s architectural landscape since its opening in 1912.
Meanwhile, in the UK pavilion, the restrooms have finally reopened. For the past year, park guests had to use the restrooms in the World Showplace area, next to Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea stand in between Canada and the UK.
It is home to Le Cellier Steakhouse – Descend into the cozy cellar of a Canadian château for exquisite steaks and seafood specialties.
Just makes it a little more convenient, now that the bathrooms are open, for those having a few drinks across the street at Rose & Crown.
One of the nice things about seeing these projects come to an end is knowing that a majority of the Epcot construction is wrapping up. Right now we only have CommuniCore Hall and Plaza, and the Rose walkway section next to Journey into Imagination behind walls. Our time calling it Wall-Cot is almost over.
This has been an almost 4-year process. The parks as we knew it have been transformed and updated in a way that should please those nostalgic for the past while pining for the future.
