Breaking: Freaky Friday 2 Is Happening According To Lindsay Lohan. That’s right! We are one step closer to the highly anticipated sequel we have all wanted to see.
Lindsay Lohan chatted with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live that Freaky Friday is going to happen with both Lohan and the other star of the Disney film, Jamie Lee Curtis.

Lohan told Andy Cohen that both she and Jamie Lee Curtis are “excited” about the sequel. Lindsay Lohan told People that the movie is “in the process” but did not say when filming would take place or if there was a finalized script.
The star of the upcoming Netflix movie, Irish Wish, said that she was excited to work with Jamie again and see how far they could take the film.
Freaky Friday is a remake of the 1976 Disney movie of the same name starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster. The remake premiered in 2003 and was about Tess Coleman (Curtis) and her daughter Anna (Lohan) and how different they are.
After receiving cryptic fortunes from a Chinese restaurant, the two wake up the next day to find out that they swapped bodies. This all happens as Tess is about to remarry and Anna is about to play in a huge competition with her band. Unable to switch back, they must figure out how to live as each other and learn to respect and understand each other.
Freaky Friday celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Jamie Lee Curtis brought up that the sequel could happen over multiple interviews. We all want this, so please Disney don’t disappoint and make this a reality.
“As I went around the world with Halloween Ends, people wanted to know if there was going to be another Freaky Friday,” Curtis told the Times last year. “Something really touched a chord. When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, ‘It feels like there’s a movie to be made.’”
Lohan added that the two were “both open” to a sequel. “We would only make something that people would absolutely adore,” she said.
Lindsay Lohan’s latest movie, Irish Wish, will be streamed on Netflix on March 15. This movie marks her second movie for Netflix, following 2022’s Falling for Christmas.
