‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 Trailer Shows Penelope and Colin’s Friendship Bloom. In the words of the Beloved Lady Whistledown, “Dearest Gentle Reader, we have been apart for far too long.” It’s true. We have been waiting for this season eagerly.
Netflix dropped a new trailer today for Season 3. This season will revolve around Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton. Fans worldwide have been using the hashtag #Polin for a long time. Suffice it to say that this is a very anticipated season.
The trailer shows that the story will revolve around Colin and Penelope’s friendship which may turn into more. Penelope has always had a crush on Colin Bridgerton. When last we saw in Season 2, Eloise Bridgerton discovered a major secret. Penelope is Lady Whistledown. How will this play out in Season 3?
From Netflix, At the center of the ballroom will be wallflower (and secret scandal sheet writer) Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and her longtime crush, world traveler Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). That means this spring will officially be filled with #Polin, as fans have nicknamed the duo — and you’re about to see Penelope and Colin in a whole new way when they step into the spotlight. As the trailer reveals, there may just be more than “friendship” brewing between them. We see in the trailer that Penelope, long the wallflower, is fed up and decides that it is her time to take a husband during this next season. Colin decides to help her. “If a husband is what you seek, let me help you,” Colin says to Pen, “Are we not friends?”
Together, Colin and Penelope work towards finding her a husband. It seems that Penelope gains favor with Lord Debling. They seem to be matched but will Penelope be able to look away from Colin?
Also in the trailer, we see signs of the rift between Eloise and Penelope. These once best friends are no longer together. Eloise is seen spending time with rival Cressida Cowper. This is seen to upset Penelope. Eloise says to her brother after he is known to be helping Penelope, “She’s not seeking a husband in you, I hope.” Colin responds, “No, I’m merely helping her find one.”
It also seems that this is the season for Francesca Bridgerton to debut. How will this play out for the shyest of Bridgertons? Kate and Antony are back for another season as well as the rest of the Bridgertons, Lady Danbury, Will Mondrich, Madame Delecroix, all the Featheringtons, and of course our Queen Charlotte.
