When Calls The Heart Actress Mamie Laverock Needs Our Help. Mamie Laverock’s parents posted a GoFundMe to help their 19-year-old daughter with medical expenses. The family is dealing with an enormous family ordeal. Cast members and fans are rallying to help.
In the GoFundMe post, her parents wrote, “On Saturday, May 11th, Nicole traveled to Winnipeg to help Mamie, who was having a medical emergency. Nicole was able to get there in time to save her life. Then, got her to a hospital in Winnipeg. Mamie has since been transferred to a Hospital here in Vancouver. Her recovery is unclear at this time but she is alive and is showing signs of improvement. We are deeply saddened to report that on May 26th, Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories. She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support. We are all devastated, and in shock, at this intensely difficult time.
**UPDATE: Mamie’s family posted an update yesterday. “I wanted to speak yesterday on the speculations. Focusing now on Mamie’s surgery today. Her body has been shattered. She has undergone two 11 hour surgeries with two doctors working on her, a three hour surgery and another surgery today. We have nothing but gratitude for the doctors and nurses who have been exemplary in her care since May 26. Mamie is ‘ doing well’ comparatively to when she arrived Doing well because she has survived these extensive surgeries. She is enduring tremendous pain and continues to not give up. We can only hold onto the miracles of each day and continue to thank everyone for their prayers and marvel at the miracles of her story . Our daughter loves her life and loves her family and is fighting hard everyday.

Mamie is a beloved member of the When Calls The Heart family on the Hallmark Channel. She played Rosaleen Sullivan in the first season of the long time popular series. She reprised the role last year in Season 10. Her cast members took to social media to share the love and the gofund me. Johannah Newmarch, who plays Laverock’s on-screen mother Molly Sullivan, wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “I love this family, my heart is broken. A devastating time for all who care for Mamie. Please help if you can. They need all the support they can get to make it through this 🙏❤️ #hearties.”
When Calls the Heart’s leading actress Erin Krakow, who plays Elizabeth Thatcher, shared a photo of the GoFundMe page to her Instagram with the caption, “💔 I just donated. If you have the means to do so, I hope you will too. Link in bio.” Other cast members of the WCTH family — including Ava Grace Cooper, Gracyn Shinyei, Andrea Brooks, Loretta Walsh, and Mitchell Kummen — also penned messages of support.
